How to change personal information (Phone Number, Email, Address, Emergency Contact)

If you are able to login to your Indodax account

If you would like to make modifications to the registered mobile phone number and still have the ability to access your account, you can proceed by accessing the "Profile & Settings" or "Personal Settings" section. Changing profile data (phone number, email, address, emergency contact) can only be done on Indodax application. Here are the steps to change profile data through the Indodax application: 

How to change your mobile phone number:

  • Open the "Account Settings" menu.
  • Choose "Personal Settings".
  • Select the "Pencil" icon on the number you want to modify.
  • After that please enter the "New Phone Number" and select the reason for data replacement, than klik "Save".

  • Next, please perform the "Face Detection", and kindly follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
  • After the face detection process is successful, please select "Next".
  • We have received your request to change your data. Please wait for a moment, the  verification process will be done in 1x24 hours.

Note: If your account has not been verified, you will not be able to make any data changes through the "Profile & Settings" or "Personal Settings" menu. You need to complete the account verification process first.

How to change your email address:

  • Open the "Account Settings" menu.
  • Choose "Personal Settings".
  • Select the "Pencil" icon on the email address you want to modify.
  • Please enter the "New Email", "Confirm your New Email" and provide the reason for data replacement, than klik "Save".

  • Next, please perform the "Face Detection", and kindly follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
  • After the face detection process is successful, please select "Next".
  • We have received your request to change your data. Please wait for a moment, the  verification process will be done in 1x24 hours.

Note : if you are unable to access the registered email on your Indodax account, we recommend contacting the email domain provider for email recovery. Once the email recovery process is successful, please try logging back into your Indodax account.

How to change your address on Indodax account: 

  • Open the "Account Settings" menu.
  • Choose "Personal Settings".
  • Select the "Pencil" icon on the address you want to modify.
  • Next, please input your "New Address" details, and also enter the SMS PIN code. If you are using Google Authenticator, please enter your Google Authenticator PIN. After that, click "Save".

How to change emergency contact on Indodax account: 

  • Open the "Account Settings" menu.
  • Choose "Personal Settings".
  • Select the "Pencil" icon on he emergency contact you want to modify.
  • Please enter the "New Emergency Contact" and provide the reason for data replacement, than klik "Save".

  • Next, please perform the "Face Detection", and kindly follow the instructions displayed on your screen.
  • After the face detection process is successful, please select "Next".
  • We have received your request to change your data. Please wait for a moment, the  verification process will be done in 1x24 hours.

If you are no longer able to access your account and your account is locked or requires login confirmation but the registered phone number is inactive

How to change you mobile phone number:

If your account is locked and the primary mobile phone number registered on your account is lost or inactive, you will not be able to receive verification codes via SMS or WhatsApp to unlock your account. Please note that SMS and WhatsApp verification codes will only be sent to the primary mobile phone number registered on your account. Therefore, in this situation, you need to update the data of your primary mobile phone number first. Here are the steps to change your primary mobile phone number if your account is locked: 

  • On the verification menu, please select the option "Lost your phone number?" to request a change of phone number for your Indodax account.
  • In the reset phone number menu, please enter the "New Phone Number" and select the reason for data replacement, than klik "Continue".
  • Next, please check your email to obtain the verification code that has been sent to your email.
  • Please enter the received verification code and select "Send".

  • Your Phone Number has been updated. Please re-login, to your Indodax Account.

How to change your email address:

If you are no longer able to access or recover the email registered to your Indodax account, please contact our support service via email at support@indodax.com using the subject [Data Modification Request] and please fill in the following data in the contents of the email that will be sent to do so. data change:

  • Scan/photo of your ID Card:
  • ID Card Number (Passport Number/NIK):
  • Full Name:
  • Residence Address:
  • Username:
  • Old Email (registered on Indodax account):
  • New Email:
  • Old phone number (registered on Indodax account):
  • Relative’s phone number:
  • Email modification reason: 

Following that, our verification team will contact you via your old phone numbers to validate your data modification request; please verify your phone number is active. If your phone number is reachable, this process will take about 7 business days.
