The account verification process, or Know Your Customer (KYC), is an important regulation established by every financial institution to verify user identities. The KYC process is conducted by requesting specific information from customers or users. This effort is made to ensure that companies and service providers can protect themselves from individuals associated with criminal activities or terrorism.

However, when uploading data, some users may see a system warning notification stating "Verification at Risk of Rejection" (Verifikasi Berisiko Ditolak). If you encounter this message, do not panic. This notification is an early detection feature (automatic warning) from the Indodax system, which determines that the file or photo you uploaded is of suboptimal quality and is highly likely to be rejected. Below are the main reasons why the system issues this warning, along with how to fix it:

  1. Blurry Identity Photo (ID Card/Passport): The system detects that the ID card photo you uploaded lacks sufficient sharpness. The camera might be out of focus, hands were shaking while taking the photo, or the camera resolution is too low. You can retake the photo in a well-lit area, ensure the camera lens is clean, and keep your hands steady until a sharp image is captured.

  2. Information or Text on the ID Card is Cropped: The shooting angle was too close or tilted, causing some physical data (such as the ID number/NIK, Name, or Facial Photo on the ID card) to be cut off. Ensure that the entire ID card fits within the provided frame on the app screen and that it is positioned straight (parallel).

  3. Light Reflection (Glow/Glare) on the Card: This is caused by using the camera flash or taking the photo directly under a room light, which reflects off the plastic material of the ID card. Turn off the camera flash and adjust the shooting angle so that the room light does not reflect directly onto the card.

  4. Mismatch During Face Detection (Liveness Test): During the real-time face scan, the system detects a high degree of mismatch between your actual face and the photo on your ID card. This can be caused by wearing accessories like sunglasses, masks, or hats, or by a room that is too dark during the scanning process. Remove all facial accessories and find a brightly lit room before starting the face verification process.
