Account verification is required before you can make transactions using your Indodax account. Remember, the account verification process can only be done on the Indodax application. Here are the procedures for verifying (KYC) at Indodax :
- After you successfully register an account and verify your email, you will be directed to verify (KYC). Currently, KYC can only be done on the Indodax mobile application. So, make sure you have downloaded the Indodax mobile application after registration and email verification and please prepare your Identity card (E-KTP for Indonesian citizens, Passport and KITAP/KITAS for foreigners) in physical form for the verification process.
- After having an Indodax account and downloading the Indodax mobile application, please login to the Indodax mobile application and please open the account settings menu.
- Next, please click “Verify now” and “Start verification”.
- Next, you will see this page. There are 3 steps to do KYC at Indodax. First, to verify ID card click "Start".
- After you fill in the country of origin, click “Take Photo/camera shutter button”. In order for the Indodax app to use your device's camera to take a photo of the ID card, please allow the Indodax app if a permission request pop-up appears from your device settings. After that you can follow the placement of your ID card in the box/grid provided.
- Next, go to the second step, Personal Data. Select “Start” to start completing all your personal data completely and honestly according to your identity. Complete the NIK data and check the 'Lifetime' validity period for E-KTP identity, then select 'Save'.
- After completing all your personal data click 'Next'.
- Then complete your account 'Detail Data' then select 'Next'.
- If you are not an Indonesian citizen or foreigner, after filling in the citizenship data, you will be directed to do KYC using your Passport and KITAP/KITAS.
- You will be asked to attach a photo of your Passport, Passport number and expiration date.
- Next, you are required to attach a photo of KITAP/KITAS and you will be asked to enter the NIORA (Foreigner Identification Number), as well as the validity period.
- After that select “Save”.
- The next step is Face Detection. Click "Continue" or "Next" after that select "Start Test Now" Make sure the camera on your device is working properly. Do not use glasses, masks, and have sufficient lighting. You need to follow the directions on your screen so that the system can verify your face. This process is very important to do in order to ensure the legitimacy of your account. Recording lasts only a few seconds, pay attention to your recording time. If it is successful, the next page will appear and you only need to click "Continue".
- After completing all the KYC verification process, you need to agree to the Terms and Conditions by clicking the “I Agree” button.
- In the final step, you only need to wait a maximum of 1x24 hours for the verification process to be processed by the Indodax team. If the verification process is successful, you will receive an email. You may activate the push notification feature on your mobile phone for information on your KYC results.
- In some cases, there’s a possibility that the KYC process will take a longer time because we need to conduct further checking. When this happens, you only need to wait and your KYC process will be finished in less than 2x24 hours.
