Account verification is required before you can make transactions using your Indodax account. Remember, the account verification process can only be done on the Indodax application. Here are the procedures for verifying (KYC) at Indodax:
How to Verify Your Account for Indonesian Citizens:
After you successfully register an account and verify your email, you will be directed to verify (KYC). Currently, KYC can only be done on the Indodax mobile application. So, make sure you have downloaded the Indodax mobile application after registration and email verification and please prepare your Identity card (E-KTP for Indonesian citizens, Passport and KITAP/KITAS for foreigners) in physical form for the verification process.
After having an Indodax account and downloading the Indodax mobile application, please login to the Indodax mobile application and please open the account settings menu.
Next, please click “Verify Your Account” and “Start Account Verification”.
- Next, you will see this page. There are 3 steps to do KYC at Indodax. First, to verify ID card click "Start".
- Please fill in your nationality, then click “Next”.
- You will be directed to, click “Take Photo/camera shutter button”. In order for the Indodax app to use your device's camera to take a photo of the ID card, please allow the Indodax app if a permission request pop-up appears from your device settings.
Next, please take a photo of your E-KTP. Make sure the captured photo fits within the provided frame. Ensure that your phone's camera is functioning correctly and that there is adequate lighting. This process is crucial to verify your account.
Please review the photo you have taken. If you are satisfied, click "Next".
Please enter your E-KTP details, check the 'Lifetime' validity box, and then click "Save". You will be directed to the second step to fill in your "Personal Details". Please select the "Next".
Please complete your “Personal Data”. Please fill in your data according to your E-KTP.
In the “Address” section, make sure the address matches your E-KTP. If your residential address is still the same, please check the “Residential address is the same as KTP address” option. If your residential address is different from your E-KTP, please fill in your residential address in the column provided.
Note:
- The country of residence you fill in will determine your tax reporting location. Please ensure that the data you enter is correct.
- If your residence is outside Indonesia, you will be asked to enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN) and a photo of your tax ID card valid in the country where you reside.
- Next, please complete the ‘Relationships’ and ‘Financial’ tabs provided. Then, click “Save”.
Note:
- If you reside outside Indonesia, please fill in the information related to your Domicile Tax Number.
-If you have a Tax Identification Number, please enter the number and upload a photo of your Tax Identification Number (TIN) that is valid in the country where you reside.
- If you do not have a Tax Identification Number, please select the available reason and enter the digits and upload a document equivalent to a TIN (e.g., residence ID card).

The third step is Face Detection. Please click "Start Face Verification" to do the 'Face Detection Test'. Make sure the camera on your handphone functions well. Do not use glasses, a mask, and have sufficient lighting. You need to follow the directions shown on your screen so that the system can perform verification on your face. This process is very important to do in order to ensure the validity of your account. The recording only lasts a few seconds, pay attention to your recording time.
If it is successful, then the next page will be visible and you only need to click “Next”.
After completing the three KYC steps above, please confirm the data to be submitted by clicking the "Next".
You must agree to the Terms and Conditions and the individual tax residency declaration.
Once you agree, you can check the available box and click the “Submit” button.
Next, you only need to wait a maximum of 24 hours for the verification process to be carried out by the Indodax team. You can continue to explore the application while waiting for your verification request to be approved. If successful, you will receive an email. Also activate the push notification feature on your mobile phone to receive information about your KYC results.
In some cases, the KYC process may take longer due to additional checks that are required. When this happens, you just need to wait patiently and your KYC process will be completed in less than 2x24 hours.
How to Verify Your Account for Foreign Nationals:
After you successfully register an account and do email verification, you will be directed to do verification (KYC). At this time, KYC can only be done on the Indodax mobile application. So, make sure you have downloaded the Indodax mobile application after registration and email verification and please prepare your Identity card (E-KTP for WNI, Passport and KITAP/KITAS for WNA) in physical form for the verification process.
After having an Indodax account and downloading the Indodax mobile application, please do a login on the Indodax mobile application and please open the account settings menu.
Next, please click the button “Verify Your Account” and “Start Account Verification”.
You will see this page, which outlines the 3 steps to complete KYC on Indodax. The first step is to verify your identity card, please click the "Start" button to begin.
Please select your country of origin, and then click "Next".
You will be directed to “Take Photo/camera shutter button”. So that the Indodax application can use your device's camera to take a photo of the identity card, please allow the Indodax application if a permission request pop-up appears from your device's settings.
Next, please take a photo of your Passport and make sure the Passport photo that is taken is placed in the available area. Make sure the camera on your handphone functions well and has sufficient lighting. This process is very important to do in order to ensure the validity of your account.
Pay attention again to the Passport photo that is taken, if done click "Next".
Please fill in your Passport details and select the validity period of your Passport, then click "Save".
Next, please take a photo of your KITAS/KITAP by clicking the "Take Photo" button.
Please make sure the KITAS/KITAP photo that is taken is placed in the available area. Make sure the camera on your handphone functions well and has sufficient lighting. This process is very important to do in order to ensure the validity of your account. Pay attention again to the KITAS/KITAP photo that is taken, if done click "Next".
Next, you will be directed to the second step to fill in your 'Personal Data'. Please select "Next".
Please complete your “Personal Data”. Please fill in your data according to your ID.
