If you have previously activated Authenticator but no longer want to use it, you can reset the Authenticator connected with your Indodax account. However, we strongly recommend that you continue to use Authenticator, as turning off Two-Factor Authentication could increase the risk of unauthorized access to your account. There are two methods for resetting Authenticator: one if you still have access to it, and another if you have lost access to or no longer have Authenticator.
If you can still access Authenticator, please follow these steps:
If you access your Indodax account through the website:
Navigate the ‘Security’ menu.
In the 'Security' menu, please input your Authenticator PIN and select 'Remove Auth Connection'
If successful, you will receive a notification as follows.
If you access your Indodax account through the application:
- Navigate the ‘Account Settings’ menu.
- Then select ‘Account Security’.
- Next select ‘Authenticator’.
- Please click 'Turn off' to turn off Authenticator.
- Please enter your Authenticator PIN. Then select 'Continue'.
- You will receive a notification indicating that your Authenticator feature has been disabled.
If you can no longer access Authenticator due to device loss or replacement, uninstallation of the Authenticator prior to the reset procedure, or any other related issues, you can proceed by following the steps outlined below :
If you access your Indodax account through the website:
Please log in to your Indodax account.
- Please select the 'Lost Authenticator?' option.
Please enter your 'email' and 'phone number' to receive the OTP code.
Then, please click 'OTP Code' to get your verification code.
After that, you will receive a notification stating that the 'Authenticator Reset' has been successfully completed.

In case you have lost your phone number or are unable to access the registered phone number to receive the OTP code, please follow the instructions provided in this link.
If you access your Indodax account through the application:
Please log in to your Indodax account.
Enter your 'Application PIN'.
Select the 'Lost Authenticator?' option.
Please enter your 'Email Address' and 'Primary Phone Number', then click 'Send OTP'.
Choose the desired 'OTP Method' (You can click on the 'Others' menu to find both available OTP methods).
After receiving the OTP code, please enter it in the provided field and select 'Continue'.
You will receive a notification confirming the successful completion of the Authenticator reset process.
