How to Log In Using a Passkey?

Introducing Passkey, the latest way to log in that is faster, more practical, and more secure. Without having to input your passwords, you can log in with just your fingerprint, Face ID, or device PIN. It's easier, more convenient, and helps improve your account security. How to Register a Passkey on Indodax:

  • Before logging in using a Passkey, you need to register a Passkey first through the Indodax application.
    Open the Account Settings menu from the Profile icon located in the top right corner of your homepage.

  • Next, select the Account Security menu, and open the Passkey menu.

  • Then, please select the Create Passkey option.

  • After that, please perform Authentication on the Passkey display that appears on your screen.

  • Congratulations! Your Passkey is successfully registered and ready to use.

How to Log In using a Passkey via the Indodax Application:

  • On the Indodax login page, please select the Continue with Passkey option.

  • Then, perform the Authentication process on the Passkey display that appears on your screen.

  • After the Authentication process, you will need to perform 2FA verification via your phone number.

  • Once the 2FA verification process is successful, you will successfully log in and arrive at the homepage.

How to Log In using a Passkey via the Indodax Website:

  • Visit https://indodax.com/login then select the “Continue with Passkey” option.

  • Complete the captcha challenge that appears on your screen.

  • Select the Use a phone or tablet option.

  • A Barcode will appear on the Passkey display. Please scan the Barcode using your mobile device.

 

  • When scanning the Barcode on your mobile device, please tap the Log in with Passkey option.

  • Then, the Passkey display will appear. Please tap Continue and perform the Authentication process until successful.

  • After the Authentication process, you will need to perform 2FA verification via your phone number.

  • If the 2FA verification is successful, you will arrive at the homepage and the Login process is complete.

How to Revoke a Registered Passkey:

  • Open the Passkey menu and then select one Passkey to revoke its access.

  • On the Passkey detail page, please select the Revoke Access option.

  • Please tap Continue and then perform the Passkey authentication process until successful.

  • If successful, the Passkey access has been revoked.

 

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q : Can I register a passkey via the website?

A : No, currently Passkey can only be registered via the mobile app.

Q : Can I log in using Passkey on the website if they don't have Bluetooth?

A : No, the device needs to have Bluetooth to log in using Passkey. 

Q : Do all versions of Android and iOS support the Passkey feature? 

A : The Passkey feature is not available for Android 9 and below and iOS 16 and below. The Passkey option will not appear on those versions. 

Q : Will Passkey authentication always use Biometric?

A : No, Passkey authentication can also use security features that have been enabled on the user's device (Biometric, Pattern, PIN, Password).

Q : Is there a duration for registered passkeys?

A : No, passkeys will remain stored until revoked by the user.
