It was this person or group of individuals who released a whitepaper describing Bitcoin and the underlying concept of blockchain technology. Therefore, there is no individual or single company directly associated with running Bitcoin.
Although there is no single entity that controls Bitcoin, there are numerous individuals and companies involved in the Bitcoin ecosystem. For example, Bitcoin miners are individuals or groups who use specialized hardware to validate transactions and mine new Bitcoins. There are also companies within the Bitcoin ecosystem that provide Bitcoin related services, such as digital wallets that enable users to store and send Bitcoin.
