Public keys are addresses used to receive crypto transactions. Although it can be shared freely, the public key is paired with a private key.

Whenever there is a transaction, the public key is used to verify ownership, while the private key is used to sign the transaction. In the context of security, the public key serves as a secure way for other parties to transmit assets without revealing the private key.
