Permissioned Blockchain refers to a type of blockchain network where access to participate in the network and perform transactions is limited to entities or individuals who have obtained special permission or authorisation. In contrast to public blockchains that are open and fully decentralized, permissioned blockchains maintain stricter control over the identity of participants and their access rights. This is often applied in corporate, financial, or government environments where compliance, privacy, and data security are key concerns. In permissioned blockchains, administrators or managing entities have the ability to centrally manage roles and access permissions, facilitating compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
