Circulating supply is the amount of crypto coins or tokens that have been circulated and are publicly held in the market.

Circulating supply is part of total supply, which is the total supply of coins ever created by a blockchain protocol. Total supply includes both circulating and uncirculated coins.

Circulating supply is always smaller or equal to total supply. The larger the circulating supply, the more coins investors own and circulate in the market.
