Zero confirmation transactions are Bitcoin or other crypto asset transactions that have not been processed by the blockchain network. In other words, this transaction has not been confirmed by miners and has not been inserted into a block on the blockchain. Zero Confirmation or unconfirmed transactions are defined as exchanges that have not been recorded or verified on the blockchain. To understand it in context, it helps to remember some basic principles of blockchain technology.
