Golden Cross is a technical analysis term that refers to the formation of an upward crossover between a short-term moving average and a long-term moving average on a cryptocurrency price chart.

A golden cross occurs when a short-term moving average line, such as the 20-day MA, crosses and rises over a long-term moving average line, such as the 50- or 200-day MA. This is considered a bullish signal that indicates price momentum is turning positive.

A golden cross is seen as a market turning point from a bearish trend to a bullish trend. This signal is often used by traders as a trigger to buy crypto assets because they think a new uptrend is starting.
