CBDC or commonly known as Central Bank Digital Currency is a form of digital asset issued and regulated by the central bank as a regulator in a country. Basically, the function of CBDC is as an official & legal means of payment and has the same legal status as conventional currencies such as cash.

The central bank has an important role in issuing and managing CBDC is to maintain the stability of the country's financial system & meet the needs of the community in terms of electronic payments. The main objective of CBDC is to bring about innovations in the financial-payment system that can improve efficiency, transparency, & accessibility for the public.
